Omungholyo Primary School is in Oshandi, a village in the Ohangwena District in the far north of Namibia close to the Angola border. Peter Burnley and Sharon Jones (Sadldleworth Team Rector) went to visit the school in September 2018 along with Sarah and Godfrey Adams (Sarah has a long association with Oshandi and has undertaken a number of projects that have provided support for the local community).
Peter Burnley spent a week in Omungholyo Primary School supporting leadership development as a means of further establishing the Saddleworth Church link which has existed within the Ohangwena Region for some considerable time.
In the long term the Trust is looking to have wider impact in the region by linking Trust schools with a number of schools within the same locality as Omungholyo. Contact has been made with Government Ministers in Windhoek and the local Director of Education.
